Back in 2008 everyone though obama would be a great president and every said john McCain would had been bad. How? Obama is the worst president we now have.

Increasing the minimum wage will not benefit these people. If one were to increase the minimum wage, what would happen? The answer is merely common sense. By drastically (or even minimally in many cases) increasing the minimum wage, companies, large and small, will be forced to pay more for the individuals they hire. This will bleed-out in many different, negative, aspects; of which I will only point out the two most likely. Either these businesses will stop hiring, or the cost of their products will rise. After all, where is that extra money going to come from to pay these, now more expensive, employees? The government? Of course not, and even if it did, the money spent by the government in order to keep companies floating atop with an equal amount of employees would, again, have major repercussions on another area of economics. As commonly referenced, taxes would rise, which I'm sure nobody wants. Let's backtrack a little. If these companies cannot afford to pay their employees they, as mentioned previously, will be either be forced to stop hiring or, in a worse-case senario, be forced to let some of their employees go. Either way, this would result in a drastic increase of the unemployment percentage. And what do you get if people cannot find work? As seen in the past, the more unemployed you have, the higher the crime rate rises. Okay then. Let's say companies/small businesses continue to hire, but increase the price of their products; what happens then? Well if prices increase, less and less people will consistently purchase these products. And, again looking back to basic economics, if demand lessens or diminishes, then supply is left unpaid for, resulting in the closure of these companies. Don't believe me? Let's put it this way then. What happens if, as a company, your product stops selling? Yes, indeed. You can no longer make a living selling this product, money is lost, so you go out of business. And don't get me started on what happens when a large gathering of companies shut down because of a minimum wage increase. It's not good. This is only two of the possible outcomes that arise when blindly increasing wage because of an appeal to empathy. If you really wish to help out the unfortunate families displayed in your video, then don't increase the minimum wage. It will hurt them, and us. There are soo many other things one can do to actually improve the lives of people like this.

Get a real job then you fucking idiots. Minimum wage is enough High School Students to make a little money, not a full time job. Maybe you should've passed High School.

if the minim wage keeps going up and up more and more mom and pop's business's will go out of business and if persons really think they can't live on the current minim wage now just think about how really bad it will be when persons can't find jobs why because they will all be closed down at that point persons worrying about stuff now they have not seen anything yet just say no to borrowing debt and tax increase's and money extensions this is a war that can not ever be won what sort of sense is it to keep borrowing money just to pay back the old debts it is a never ending loop that won't ever end that's why on my paper ballot i said no to all of these things you can't ever win this ponzi scheme... good day to you all and good luck to you all and don't lose hope
